Vilnius – Riga – Tallinn
Day 1: VILNIUS
Arrival at Vilnius airport. Transfer to the hotel.
Check-in.
OVERNIGHT: Vilnius
Day 2: VILNIUS
– TRAKAI – VILNIUS
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast a trip to
Trakai (25 km from Vilnius). Half day city tour of Trakai. Trakai nationals
park territory with pine forests and lakes, and the ancient Lithuanian capital
– the residence of Grand Dukes of the country. Visit to the 15th century
insular castle hosted the museum of Lithuanian history nowadays.
Lunch in Trakai. Trakai is famous with Special
Karaites dish – Kibinai (meat stuffed pastry).
After lunch return to Vilnius.
A city tour of Vilnius, capital of Lithuania for more
than 600 years. You will start a tour at the Cathedral Square – the place full
of myths and legends. Further you will visit Vilnius University – the oldest university in the Eastern Europe
– founded in 1579, the Town Hall of Vilnius, built in the end of 18th century,
beautiful ensemble of Orthodox monastery, St. Theresa church and Gates of Dawn,
with the holy image of the Virgin Mary. The city tour of Vilnius will be
followed by St. Anne’s church, representing the peak of Gothic architecture in
Lithuania and St. Peter and Paul’s church – the example of Lithuanian baroque.

Day 3:
VILNIUS-HILL OF CROSSES-RUNDALE- RIGA (380 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast departure to
Riga. Stop by the Hill of Crosses, the unforgettable place with thousands of
crosses on two small hills.
Lunch near Hill of Crosses.
A further drive to Riga. Stopover in Rundale. Visit
to Rundale Palace and Park, a beautiful late Baroque palace in Latvia.
Arrival in Riga.
Dinner at restaurant.
After dinner check-in at the hotel.
OVERNIGHT: Riga
Day 4: RIGA
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast a city tour
of Riga, including outside visits: Riga Castle, Dome Cathedral, the Church of
St. Peter, the buildings of the Great and Small Guild Halls, the fortification
wall of Riga, the Swedish Gate, the building of Parliament of Latvia-Saeima,
the Monument of Liberty. The tour continues along the central boulevards of
Riga, passing by City Canal parks, the Bastion Hill, the Powder Tower, the
Latvian National Theatre, the Fine Arts Museum, the Art Nouveau buildings of
the beginning of the XXth century, the Freedom Monument, University of Latvia,
the Opera House, and the Daugava River with its bridges.
Lunch at restaurant.
After lunch excursion to the Open Air Museum.
In the evening dinner at the restaurant or hotel.
OVERNIGHT: Riga
Day 5: RIGA –
SIGULDA – TALLINN (356 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast departure to
Tallinn with a stop in Gauja National Park, including visit to Turaida Castle.
Lunch in Sigulda.
After lunch a further drive to Tallinn.
Arrival in Tallinn.
Dinner at restaurant.
After dinner check-in at the hotel.

Day 6: TALLINN
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast city tour of
Tallinn. The walking tour gives an introduction to the historical heart of
Tallinn, which especially during the 15th century was a rich and prosperous
town of Hansa merchants. Tour starts from the Dome Hill (Toompea), from Castle
Square where Toompea Castle, the seat of the Estonian Parliament is facing the
19th century symbol of the Tsar’s power in Estonia, Alexander Nevskij
Cathedral. The tour continues by strolling along the narrow cobblestone streets
down to the Town Hall Square that features the gothic Town Hall from 13/14th
century – one of the oldest in Northern Europe.
Lunch in restaurant.
Afternoon excursion to Kadriorg Park and visit to
Kadriorg Palace. The Kadriorg Art Museum introduces, preserves and collects
early foreign art – primarily western European and Russian paintings, graphic
arts, sculpture and applied arts. The museum is located in Kadriorg Park in
Tallinn, in a Baroque palace built by Tsar Peter the Great of Russia as a
summer residence.

Day 7: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Tallinn airport.
End of the tour.
