Day 1
Arrival to Vilnius. Accommodation. Panoramic tour of Vilnius.
You will start a tour at the Cathedral Square – the place full of myths and legends. Further you will visit Vilnius University  – the oldest university in the Eastern Europe – founded in 1579, the Town Hall of Vilnius, built in the end of 18th century, beautiful ensemble of Orthodox monastery, St. Theresa church and Gates of Dawn, with the holy image of the Virgin Mary. The city tour of Vilnius will be followed by St. Anne’s church, representing the peak of Gothic architecture in Lithuania and St. Peter and Paul’s church – the example of Lithuanian baroque.
Overnight in Vilnius.

Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel. Trip to Kaunas via Rumsiskes national museum.
Explore Lithuanian traditions at the open air museum. More then 174 hectares, more then 180 buildings and more then 80 000 items exposed.
After the excursion in an open air museum – Panoramic tour of Kaunas, visiting old town, with the remaining of the castle, cathedral, pedestrian avenue – Laisves – probably the most famous street in Lithuania. Visit to the museum of the most famous Lithuanian painter – M. K. Ciurlionis  and to Zilinskas Art gallery.
Return back to Vilnius. Overnight in Vilnius.

Day 3
Breakfast at the hotel.
Excursion to Trakai, the picturesque Trakai nationals park territory with pine forests and lakes, and the ancient Lithuanian capital – the residence of Grand Dukes of the country. Visit to the 15th century insular castle hosted the museum of Lithuanian history nowadays. Return back to Vilnius. Free time for your disposal.

Day 4
Arrival to Riga. Accommodation at the hotel. Overnight in Riga.


Day 5
City tour of Riga, including: Riga Castle, Dome Cathedral, the Church of St. Peter, the buildings of the Great and Small Guild Halls, the fortification wall of Riga, the Swedish Gate, the building of Parliament of Latvia-Saeima, the Monument of Liberty. The tour continues by car along the central boulevards of Riga, passing by City Canal parks, the Bastion Hill, the Powder Tower, the Latvian National Theatre, the Fine Arts Museum, the Art Nouveau buildings of the beginning of the XXth century, the Freedom Monument, University of Latvia, the Opera House, and the Daugava River with its bridges.

After lunch visit to Sigulda, a historically rich town, dominated by castle ruins and unspoiled nature, it’s a tourist center of the Gauja National Park. The Park has been established along the sandstone banks of the River Gauja – the most striking river in Latvia. The area of the Park is 900 sq. km. There are beautiful forests, hills, deep ravines, old castles and caves. One of the “must see” places is Turaida castle – wait to hear a famous story of Turaida’s Rose.

Day 6
Visit to Rundale Palace – Baroque Rundale Palace with an excellent museum in the former Courland Dukes’ palace, this is an outstanding example of the early work of Italian – Russian architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli who also designed the famous Winter Palace in St.Petersburg. The professionally renovated palace interiors are decorated with authentic 18th century furniture, paintings and china, though apart of the interior you‘ll see perfectly planted French style gardens.
Overnight in Riga.

Day 7
Transfer to the airport.
Departure.
End of the trip.
